Character and beauty abound in this remade-authentic city

All these photos were taken in the span of an hour-- around 6:30 p.m. The streets of Old Town (aside from the two or three main veins) were close to empty. The reason for this is, I think, two-fold: 1) Croatia is not exactly Cabo, and the spring breakers there were all old enough to remember Dubrovnik being an independent republic*. 2) We were there in late April/early May: a few weeks before the official start of the season.
